When to Upgrade from 45 to 49-Seater

Consider upgrading to a 49-seater if your group has 46–49 people, as it’s your only single-bus option. It’s also a good choice if you have significantly more luggage than average, or if you simply want maximum legroom and comfort for your passengers.

For Groups of Exactly 45–49

If your group is 46–49 people, the 49-seater is your only single-bus option. The SGD 30 premium over the 45-seater is well worth avoiding the need for a second vehicle.

When to choose the 49-seater over the 45

The SGD 10 per-trip difference between the two vehicles is rarely the deciding factor. What matters is passenger count, luggage load, and whether the extra 4 seats serve a purpose. If you have 46–49 confirmed passengers, the decision is made for you. If you have 40 passengers and no special luggage, the 45-seater is the practical choice.

Where the 49-seater earns its place is for groups at the upper end of the 45-seater’s range — 42–45 passengers with full luggage loads, or groups where the organiser knows that a few latecomers often show up. Having 4 extra seats means the trip isn’t delayed while you figure out where the last three guests sit.

Comfort on longer trips

For trips over 45 minutes — industrial estates in Tuas, excursions to Johor Bahru, airport runs from the far north of the island — a slightly less-packed bus makes a noticeable difference. If your group is 42 people and the trip is under 20 minutes, book the 45-seater. If it’s 42 people and the trip is an hour or more, consider the 49-seater for the extra elbow room.

Rates side by side

Both vehicles are covered in our full rate breakdown. The 45-seater runs SGD 100 per trip or SGD 60/hr (4-hour minimum). The 49-seater is SGD 110 per trip or SGD 70/hr. For most use cases, the 45-seater is the right default. For groups at the capacity edge or with heavy luggage, the 49-seater is worth the additional SGD 10–40 depending on hire duration.
