How Bus Charter Pricing Works
There's no mystery to our rates. Your price is built from four simple things, and you can see all of them before you book.
1. Bus Size
Bigger coach, higher base rate. A 23-seater starts at $85/trip; a 49-seater at $110. Pick the smallest bus that fits your group to pay the least.
2. Trip or Hourly
Per-trip is best for a fixed A-to-B run. Hourly (from $50/hr, min 4 hrs) is best when you want the bus to wait and make stops.
3. How Long
For hourly bookings, the price is simply the hourly rate × the hours you need. A full day is usually 8 hours.
4. Timing & Stops
Late-night, public-holiday, extra-stop, or long waiting times add a small fixed surcharge (all listed below). Nothing is added by surprise.

Two answers get you a price. Add the extras below only if you need them.
Driver, fuel, ERP charges and parking are already counted in.
How this price is made up
Before you book: this is a Singapore Bus Charter estimate built from our standard rates, in Singapore dollars, and it already includes the driver, fuel, ERP charges and parking. The midnight surcharge and the meet and greet fee are charged per vehicle, so a job that needs two coaches carries them twice. Extra stops are $20 each and you count them per vehicle, so two coaches that both make one extra stop is 2 stops.
Your final price can still move if your date falls on a gazetted public holiday, if waiting runs past the free allowance, or if you add special requests. For monthly, daily, long-term contracts, or large events, email us for a detailed quotation.
Price comparison
The same group, priced five ways. Pick the one that matches how you actually travel.
Note: all figures in Singapore dollars, and every option above includes the driver, fuel, ERP charges and parking.
Cost Per Person
Because you pay for the whole bus, the cost per head drops fast as your group fills the seats. Here's the split at full capacity on our lowest point-to-point rate.
| Coach Size | From (per trip) | Max Passengers | Cost / Person |
|---|---|---|---|
| 23-Seater Minibus | SGD 85 | 23 | ~SGD 3.70 |
| 45-Seater Coach | SGD 100 | 45 | ~SGD 2.22 |
| 49-Seater Coach | SGD 110 | 49 | ~SGD 2.24 |
Per-person cost falls even further on hourly and monthly bookings. For 50+ passengers we run multiple coaches, ask for a combined per-head quote.
What's Included in Every Price
One flat, all-inclusive rate. Everything below is already in the number we quote you, there's nothing extra to add at drop-off.
- Driver holding a Class 4 or 4A driving licence and a Bus Driver's Vocational Licence
- Fuel, petrol, diesel, or CNG
- ERP toll charges, island-wide
- Parking at pickup and drop-off
- Air-conditioning the whole way
- Driver contact by SMS / WhatsApp before departure
- 45 minutes free waiting at Changi Airport
- LTA-licensed, fully insured vehicle
If you are new to this, what a charter rate covers and what it does not explains the whole product end to end.
Surcharges: Every Possible Add-On
Full transparency: these are the only charges that can be added to your base rate. All are fixed amounts, no percentage mark-ups, no surprises.
Midnight
Any trip running between 11 PM and 7 AM. Charged for each vehicle on the job.
Public Holiday
On gazetted Singapore public holidays: CNY, Hari Raya, Deepavali, Christmas, and more. Charged for each vehicle on the job.
Extra Stop
Per additional pickup or drop-off point on point-to-point or 2-way transfers, counted for each vehicle that makes the stop. Waived on hourly charter.
Excess Waiting
Beyond your free waiting time: 45 min on airport transfers, 15 min on other transfers. After three blocks a minimum four-hour hourly rate applies. Never charged on hourly or monthly bookings.
Booking outside normal hours? Late night and pre dawn charter explains how odd hour runs are arranged. Two things sit outside this list because neither is applied to your trip by circumstance. A meet and greet at the Changi arrival hall is an optional extra you ask for at booking, SGD 20 on top of your airport transfer rate. And if you are going onto Sentosa, the island admission fee of SGD 20 for a minibus and SGD 40 for a coach is charged by Sentosa at the gantry, not by us. See what Sentosa charges.
Peak periods and public holidays
Only one thing on this page changes your rate, and that is a gazetted public holiday. Everything else below is about how early you need to book to get a coach at all, which costs nothing extra.
| Period | What to expect |
|---|---|
| Gazetted public holidays | SGD 30 per vehicle on top of your rate. Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali and Christmas all count, and the surcharge is charged for each vehicle on the job. |
| Annual dinner season, October to January | The tightest window of the year. Book 3 to 4 weeks ahead for those dates, and 4 to 6 weeks for larger multi-coach events. |
| Chinese New Year and Hari Raya | These fill earliest of any dates in the calendar, so book as far ahead as you can. |
| Weekday mornings and Friday evenings | The busiest slots in an ordinary week, along with the run up to any public holiday. The 45 and 49 seater coaches go first. |
The public holiday surcharge is one of only four possible add ons, all of them listed under surcharges. Booking lead time carries no charge of its own, it simply decides whether the size you want is still free. If your date is fixed and your group is large, book the bus before you confirm the venue.
Per-Trip vs Hourly: Which Is Cheaper?
Rule of thumb: if your day has 2+ stops or the bus must wait more than ~20 minutes, hourly usually wins. Here's the straight comparison for a 23-seater minibus.
| Your Situation | Per-Trip | Hourly (4 hrs) | Cheaper Option |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single airport pickup, straight to hotel | from $100 | from $200 | Per-Trip |
| Corporate event, 3 pickup locations | $85 + $40 stops | from $200 | Hourly |
| School excursion (out in the morning, back in the evening) | 2 × $85 = $170 | from $200 | 2-Way Transfer |
| Wedding (ceremony โ dinner โ hotel) | Multiple trip rates | Full day from $400 | Full Day (8 hrs) |
| Island-wide conference shuttle | Multiple trips | from $200/bus | Hourly |
Not sure which fits your day? WhatsApp us your itinerary, we'll tell you upfront which option saves you money.
Want the long version? Hourly against full day hire, worked through takes a full itinerary and prices it both ways.
Is Charter Cheaper Than Grab or the MRT?
For a group travelling together, one coach almost always beats splitting into taxis, and keeps everyone on the same schedule.
Multiple Grabs / Maxi-cabs
A group of 30 needs 5 to 7 cars. Fares surge at peak hours, everyone arrives at different times, and there's no single point of contact.
One Charter Coach
A 45-seater from SGD 100 keeps all 30 together at one fixed, all-inclusive price, roughly SGD 3 per head or less.
The Break-Even
As a rough guide, once you have 15 or more people, chartering usually beats multiple Grabs on both cost and hassle.
Value comes from more than price: one driver, one invoice, door-to-door, no one left behind. See the full breakdown in our bus charter vs Grab cost comparison, or read the reviews.

How much does it cost to rent a 49-seater bus in Singapore?
A 49-seater coach, our largest vehicle, starts from SGD 110 per trip or SGD 70 per hour with a 4-hour minimum on hourly bookings. It is the most cost-effective choice per head for large groups. All rates include the driver, fuel, ERP tolls, and parking.
How much does a 23-seater minibus cost to rent in Singapore?
A 23-seater minibus starts from SGD 85 per trip or SGD 50 per hour (4-hour minimum), our lowest entry price. It is ideal for small groups, family outings, and short transfers. See the 23-seater fleet page for seating layout and luggage details.
How much does it cost to rent a 40-seater bus in Singapore?
We do not run an exact 40-seater, but our 45-seater coach is the closest fit and starts from SGD 100 per trip or SGD 60 per hour. Our actual fleet sizes are 23, 45, and 49 seats, so a 45-seater comfortably covers most groups searching for a 40-seater.
How much does it cost to hire a coach in Singapore?
Coach hire, our 45 and 49-seaters, starts from SGD 100 to SGD 110 per trip, or SGD 60 to SGD 70 per hour with a 4-hour minimum. All coach rates are all-inclusive of driver, fuel, ERP, and parking with no hidden extras. Browse all bus charter services to match a coach to your occasion.
How much does bus charter cost per person in Singapore?
Per-person cost drops fast as your group grows, because you pay for the whole bus, not per seat. For example, a 45-seater from SGD 100 per trip works out to roughly SGD 2 to 3 per person when the bus is full. For groups, chartering is one of the cheapest ways to travel together.
How is bus charter price calculated in Singapore?
Your price is built from four things: the vehicle size (23, 45, or 49-seater), whether you book per-trip or per-hour, how long you need the bus, and the timing of your trip. Per-trip suits fixed point-to-point runs; per-hour (4-hour minimum) suits multi-stop days. Surcharges only apply for late-night, public-holiday, extra-stop, or excess-waiting situations, and are all listed upfront.
What is the minimum charge for bus charter in Singapore?
For hourly bookings the minimum is 4 hours, charged from SGD 50/hour for a 23-seater. For point-to-point trips the minimum is simply the from-trip fare, starting at SGD 85 for a 23-seater. There is no separate booking fee on top of these.
Are bus charter prices in Singapore inclusive of ERP, parking, and fuel?
Yes. Every quoted rate is all-inclusive of the driver, fuel, ERP tolls, and parking, there are no separate charges for these. The only extras are the clearly listed surcharges for late-night, public-holiday, extra-stop, or excess-waiting situations. The price you are quoted is the price you pay.
Is GST charged on bus charter in Singapore?
No. Singapore Bus Charter is not GST-registered, so no GST is added to your bill. The rate we quote is the final amount you pay.
What are the surcharges for bus charter in Singapore?
There are four possible surcharges: midnight trips between 11pm and 7am add SGD 20 per vehicle, public holidays add SGD 30 per vehicle, each extra stop adds SGD 20 per vehicle, and excess waiting is SGD 15 per 15 minutes. These are the only additions to your quoted rate. Everything else, driver, fuel, ERP, and parking, is already included.
How does the waiting-time charge work?
Airport transfers with Singapore Bus Charter include the first 45 minutes of waiting free, and all other transfers include the first 15 minutes. After that, waiting is charged at SGD 15 for every 15-minute block. Once waiting passes three blocks, a minimum four-hour hourly rate applies instead, which is SGD 200 on a 23-seater. Hourly and monthly bookings have no waiting charge at all, because the bus and driver are already booked for that time. We tell you before the trip ends, so nothing appears as a surprise on the invoice.
How much does an airport transfer by coach cost in Singapore?
Airport transfers start from SGD 100, all-inclusive of driver, fuel, ERP, and parking, with 45 minutes free waiting at Changi. A midnight surcharge of SGD 20 per vehicle applies between 11pm and 7am. For meet-and-greet and terminal details, see our airport transfer page.
Is it cheaper to charter a bus than take Grab or public transport in Singapore?
For groups, yes. Several Grab rides or maxi-cabs quickly add up and split everyone across vehicles, while one coach from SGD 100 keeps the group together for a fixed, all-inclusive price. As a rough guide, once you have 15 or more people, chartering usually beats multiple Grabs on both cost and convenience.
How much deposit is required to book a bus charter in Singapore?
A booking is confirmed with a deposit, and the balance is due before or on the trip date. We accept PayNow, bank transfer, and cash, and can invoice corporate clients. The exact deposit amount is confirmed with your quote.
What is the cheapest bus charter option in Singapore?
Our lowest entry point is the 23-seater minibus from SGD 50/hour or SGD 85/trip. We run our own LTA-licensed fleet, so the price you are quoted is the price you pay.
How do I get a bus charter quote in Singapore?
Use the instant quote calculator on this page for a fast estimate, or send your date, group size, and route via WhatsApp or a call to +65 8065 3479. We reply quickly with a firm, all-inclusive price. There is no charge for a quote.
